Campus and people notes for the week ending March 30

Walsh is a recipient of the Morris Scholarship Abigail Walsh, a 2012 graduate of Hastings High School, will attend the University of Minnesota-Morris in the fall of 2012. Walsh is a recipient of the Morris Scholarship, a $5,000 per year scholarship plus a one-time $2,500 scholarly stipend. Morris is one of the most respected public liberal arts colleges in the nation.

Wagner named on Northeastern University dean’s list

Abby Wagner of Hampton was recently named to the Northeastern University’s dean’s list for the fall semester which ended in December 2011. Wagner is majoring in human services/international affairs.

Metropolitan State announces graduates

Students from Hastings who received their degree from Metropolitan State University on Dec. 13, 2011 are Michelle Blehm, with a B.S. in criminal justice; Michele Jorgensen, with a B.A. in psychology; Nathalie Mahood, with an individualized B.A; and Matthew Van Der Bosch, with an individualized B.A.
