St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School has begun planning for its largest fundraiser of the year.

“Giddy Up Gala,” the annual spring fling, will be held Friday, April 27, in Mother Teresa Hall of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 2035 W. 15th St. Western attire is encouraged, but not required.

The event for adults includes appetizers, dinner and silent and live auctions. All proceeds are designated for the school.

Suggestions for auction items include hand-crafted items, games, bicycles, sporting event tickets, a themed basket of items and restaurant gift cards.

Social hour for the gala begins at 5:30 p.m., with the dinner at 6:45 p.m. The silent auction closes at 8:30 p.m., and the live auction begins at 9 p.m.

A quilt raffle is also under way with the proceeds benefiting the school. Barb Massman and Paula Peterson have each donated a handmade quilt to the SEAS music, arts and theater programs. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased in the parish office and after the Masses. The money raised from the quilt will be used to buy musical instruments and for band scholarships. One quilt is a stained-glass quilt, the other is Minnesota quilt 2007.

Tickets for the “Giddy Up Gala” are $35 per person before April 6, and $40 per person after April 6. Tickets are available at the school and the church.

If interested in making an auction item donation, call Val at 651-278-9524 or Rachel at 651-485-4844.
