Hastings Family Service was the recipient of a $2,100 donation from Carlson Capital Management.

For the past three years, instead of giving holiday gifts, Carlson Capital Management has set aside $10,000 to donate to non-profit organizations. The firm’s clients help allocate where the money is donated, and this year, Hastings Family Service was one of the recipients. With March being Minnesota FoodShare Month, HFS will also receive a match on the donation.

This year’s donation was split between Second Harvest Heartland and local food shelves ($6,200, including the HFS food shelf), Heifer International ($2,600) and Habitat for Humanity ($1,200).
