Repaired T-Rex sculpture heading back to 'the front line'

The T-Rex sculpture that was stolen then thrown from a vehicle along Highway 61 has been repaired and is heading back to Spiral Natural Foods Co-op.

Hastings artist Dale Lewis made the sculpture as part of a promotion for the Hastings Prescott Area Arts Council. Dozens of his sculptures can be found throughout the city. The T-Rex one was stolen from Spiral Natural Foods, only to be found a week later in the ditch.

The sculpture was damaged, so Lewis repaired it as quickly as possible.

"Rather than fix T-Rex right now, I gave him a crutch and he's going back to the front line," Lewis said.
