Township elections are Tuesday, March 13

Area townships get to pick their officers next Tuesday. The annual township elections will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. March 13.

Area townships get to pick their officers next Tuesday. The annual township elections will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. March 13.

The races are as follows:

Douglas – Ted Peine is the candidate for the one three-year supervisor position. Voting is at the Town Hall, 132409 240th St. E.

The annual meeting will follow the canvassing of the ballots at approximately 8:15 p.m. The budget for the coming year will be discussed.

In case of bad weather, the election will be held Tuesday, March 20.

Hampton – Bob Leifeld and Bernard Pistner are the candidates for the one three-year supervisor position. Voting is at the Town Hall, 23250 Main St.

Marshan – James Wollmering is the candidate for the supervisor position and Marjory Snyder is the candidate for the two-year clerk position. Voting is at the Town Hall, 19497 205th St.

The annual meeting begins at 8:15 p.m. Immediately following the annual meeting, they canvas the votes.

Nininger – Karen Bremer is the candidate for the one supervisor position. Voting is at the Town Hall, 12392 Ivanhoe Way.

The annual meeting will be held after the votes are counted. The bad weather date for the election is March 20.

Ravenna – Hank Tressel is the candidate for the supervisor position and Carolyn Spurgeon is the candidate for the clerk/treasurer position. Voting is at the Town Hall, 20425 Red Wing Blvd.

The annual meeting will be held after the poll closes, but no sooner than 8:30 p.m.

Vermillion – Christopher Schaffer is the candidate for the supervisor position and Maryann Stoffel and Cynthia Ladzon are candidates for the clerk position.

The annual meeting will follow the canvassing of the ballots at approximately 8:15 p.m. The election is held at the Pace Hall, 18970 Goodwin Ave. Absentee ballots are available now at the Dakota County Administrative Center in Hastings, the Western Service Center in Apple Valley, and the Northern Service Center in Mendota Heights.
