CITY OF VERMILLION PUBLIC HEARING WHP PLAN

The City of Vermillion

The City of Vermillion has been working with community residents, State, local and Federal resource staff to protect area groundwater and drinking water resources through the development of a Wellhead Protection Plan. The goal of the city's wellhead protection plan is to identify and manage potential sources of contamination in the area which supplies water to the city wells that could impact drinking water.

The City of Vermillion will be holding a public hearing on May 1, 2012 at 8:00 PM at the Vermillion City Hall to discuss the City's WHP Plan and receive comments from the public. If you are interested in reviewing the WHP plan and providing comments, please contact Mr. Mark Peine, City of Vermillion WHP Manager, at 651-437-8163 to receive a copy of the plan. Written comments may be provided to the City Council up until the time of the scheduled public hearing. Comments may also be made in person during the public hearing proceedings.
