Editorial: Decision to keep Hudson building is premature

We think it might be too early, however, to take such a stand. HEDRA has heard some possible reuses, but no developers have, as of yet, stepped forward with specific plans for what the building could be. By deciding at this point the best use of the site includes the existing building, it feels like we’re narrowing the field of options before we know what all those options even are.
The Hudson site has incredible potential. The building has incredible potential. But let’s have a little more patience. Let’s hear what the experts – the developers – have to say. Let’s get some serious proposals before we commit to keeping the building – or demolishing it.
