Bradley John Suhr, 39, passed away at 10:05 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, at a Rosemount, Minn., group home after a courageous battle with a neurological disease.

Brad was born Dec. 7, 1972, in Marshfield, Wis., as the youngest of six children of Thomas Suhr and Patricia Mathison. He lived in Hastings before moving in recent years to Rosemount.

Brad was a loving son, brother, and uncle who enjoyed following sports and finding joy in life, including attending a dance even in declining health. He loved reading the Bible and found great comfort in Jesus as he grappled with his illness. He will be greatly missed by a family that takes solace in the fact he is at peace and reunited with one of his older brothers, Tom.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Pat and Harry Mathison of Hastings, Minn.; his father and stepmother, Tom and Barb Suhr of Stratford, Wis.; three brothers, Mark Suhr of Cedarburg, Wis., Jeff Suhr of Rosemount, Minn., and Jim Suhr of St. Louis, Mo.; a sister, Connie Westerman of Tomah, Wis.; a stepbrother, James Mathison of Coon Rapids, Minn.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Suhr, and his grandparents.

Arrangements were under the direction of Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home of Hastings, Minn.

The body has been cremated. No immediate services are planned.
