Shawn J. Harrer, 42

Shawn J. Harrer, age 42, of Hastings, passed away peacefully Feb. 4.

He was born Oct. 16, 1969, in Rochester, Minn., to Gary and Geraldine (Growden) Harrer.

He is survived by son, Johanas Harrer; parents, Gary and Geraldine “Gerri” Harrer; brother, Craig (Heather) Harrer; nieces and nephew, Miranda, Kenneth, and Delaney Harrer; uncle, Gerald (Jeanine) Growden; aunt, Janet (Dave) Bendit.

A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Gordon Gathright, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings. There will be a gathering of family and friends 1 hour prior to the service.
