Just three races into Thursday night’s swimming meet between Hastings and Forest Lake, it was clear the Raiders would have little trouble picking up yet another Suburban East Conference win.
Hastings went up 33-13 after the 200 individual medley, and down the stretch the Raiders pulled away, eventually going up 86-54 before swimming exhibition only to make the final score 86-79.
In the meet’s first race, the 200 medley relay, Hastings placed both first and second to take a 12-2 lead right away.
In the 200 freestyle, Hastings took first, fourth and fifth and then, in the individual medley, Hastings placed first second and fourth.
The Raiders have a big challenge tonight (Thursday) in the pool with a key Suburban East Conference dual meet against East Ridge.

Hastings won the junior varsity meet against Forest Lake, too, 82-77.
