HHS winter play, ‘Once upon a trial,' is this weekend

The Hastings High School winter play is scheduled for this weekend. The play, “Once Upon A Trial,” is written and directed by Janelle Ranek, who directed the winter play at HHS last year, too.

The comedy is set in a fairy tale world where a trial is going on. Either the Wolf or Mary are guilty, and the audience ultimately acts as the jury in determining who is guilty.

The play is set to run at 7 p.m. Friday, at 7 p.m. on Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Cast members are Amanda Rico, Christina Alongi, Conor O’Brien, Courtney Fasbender, Emily Northard, Helen Yandrasits, Jacob Rachuy, Kaitlyn Tipler, Katie Kolodziej, Kayla Brown, Lindsey Becker, Mac Ritchie, Marissa Kolmer, Mary McCord, Mary Parilek, Megan Vortherms, Mikaela Vogland, Miranda Poncelet, Nikoline Kjaersgaard, Sarah Jones, Savanna Steinbruckner, T.J. Strandberg and Rachel Bruch-Andersen.

Making up the lighting, sound and stage crew are Andy Brownson,John Becker and David Wigness.
