Police report preview - Jan. 30 to Feb. 5
Here is this week's police report preview. The complete report can be seen on Page 4A of this week's print edition.
• A flute was stolen from the Hastings Middle School band room. The theft was reported Jan. 30. It is believed the flute was last seen in a cubby hole at the end of November. The estimated value of the flute is $800.
• A 14-year-old Hastings boy took his mother’s car out for a trip at 9:41 p.m. Feb. 5. The boy was cited for driving without a license, taking a vehicle without consent and a curfew violation. The matter has been referred to juvenile court.
• A 48-year-old Hastings man was cited for theft after stealing a bag of corned beef and spinach dip from a store in the 200 block of 33rd Street at 6:27 p.m. Feb. 2.
