Police report preview - Jan. 23-28

• A multi-color gazing ball was thrown at a vehicle parked along Shannon Drive on Jan. 27. The gazing ball caused scratches on the paint of the vehicle.
• A Hastings man had his truck attacked with a metal object after he upset some other residents. Apparently the man was driving around town blowing an air horn. Residents became upset at the man, then struck the hood of his vehicle with a metal object. The call came in at 7:31 p.m. Jan. 28 along Shannon Drive.
• Officers were called to mediate a dispute between an ex-boyfriend and girlfriend. The woman had apparently come to the man’s place of employment and was yelling at him. The parties were advised. The call came in at 11:41 a.m. Jan. 29 from the 2000 block of Vermillion Street.
