Man damages jail kiosk after he said the buttons on the screen weren't lined up right
A 23-year-old Shakopee man, Jason Brian Siegfried, faces a charge of first-degree criminal damage to property after he allegedly damaged a kiosk in the Dakota County Law Enforcement Center in Hastings.
A 23-year-old Shakopee man, Jason Brian Siegfried, faces a charge of first-degree criminal damage to property after he allegedly damaged a kiosk in the Dakota County Law Enforcement Center in Hastings. According to the criminal complaint, Siegfried told a Dakota County deputy he damaged the kiosk when he tapped the screen with his knuckle. He said the buttons on the screen were not lined up properly and this frustrated him, so he pushed the screen with his knuckle, causing the screen to crack.
The deputy observed that the screen was not simply cracked; it was shattered. The estimate to repair the screen was more than $1,000.
