HHS falls to East Ridge and Stillwater, team is now 6-5

The Hastings boys basketball team has lost two straight Suburban East Conference games. The Raiders have slipped to 6-5 on the season. The team has a 1-3 mark in SEC play.

The Hastings boys basketball team has lost two straight Suburban East Conference games. The Raiders have slipped to 6-5 on the season. The team has a 1-3 mark in SEC play.

A tough first half cost Hastings in Friday’s 52-50 loss to East Ridge.

The Raptors jumped out to a 31-21 lead at halftime.

Hastings outscored East Ridge 29-21 in the second half, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the deficit.

Darius Wilkerson led Hastings with 14 points.

Josh Monjeau had 12, Ellis Williams had 9, Quintan Weaver had 9 and Mitch Hoffman had 6.

Vs Stillwater

Hastings lost to Stillwater on Tuesday night, 65-52.

The Ponies had a 26-22 lead at halftime, then pulled away in the second half, outscoring Hastings by nine points, 39-30.

Josh Monjeau had 15 points to lead the Hastings offense.

Ellis Williams had 9, Darius Wilkerson had 9, Mitch Hoffman had 8, Ben Carlson had 6, Connor Raway had 2, Drew Pottinger had 2 and Quintan Weaver had 1.

Hastings returns home Friday night for a 7:15 p.m. game against White Bear Lake.The Bears have a 6-6 record on the season.
