Police report preview - Jan. 3 to Jan. 9

• A cell phone, some money and were stolen from a vehicle parked at the Hastings Middle School at about 7:15 p.m. Jan. 6.
The person who stole the phone ending up sending several obscene text messages to contacts within the man’s phone.
• Four bags of aluminum cans were stolen from the back yard of a Hastings home along Fourth Street. The cans had a value of $75.
• Threats were made via Facebook between two juvenile Hastings males. The harassment was reported on Jan. 4.
The matter has been referred to the Dakota County Attorney’s Office for review.
