Sleeping, drunk Hastings man parked on lawn gives officers finger, runs away, gets tasered
Hastings police were called to the 200 block of 13th Street on the report of a man sleeping in a vehicle. The call came in at 4:29 p.m. Dec. 25. The vehicle was parked on the grass in the yard of a foreclosed home.By: Chad Richardson, The Hastings Star-Gazette
Hastings police were called to the 200 block of 13th Street on the report of a man sleeping in a vehicle. The call came in at 4:29 p.m. Dec. 25. The vehicle was parked on the grass in the yard of a foreclosed home.
Officers arrived and found the man at the wheel with the vehicle running. Officers were eventually able to wake the man. Upon waking up, the man extended his middle finger to the officer. He was eventually removed from the vehicle, then tried running away.
According to the police report, officers chased after the man and when they caught him he became combative. He was ultimately Tazed.
The man was booked into the Dakota County Jail. He was arrested for felony DWI, fleeing on foot and on a Dakota County warrant.
