INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT 200

HASTINGS, MINNESOTA

The Regular Meeting of the School Board of Independent School District No.200, Hastings, Minnesota, was held on Wednesday, October 26th, 2011, in the district office board room.

Board Chair Leslie Nielsen called the meeting to order at 6:35 PM. The following members were present: Dan Cater, Dan Greil, Angie McGinnis, Teresa Moes, Leslie Nielsen, Amy Peltier, Brad Stoneberg and Superintendent Collins; Absent, None.

A motion was made by Teresa Moes and seconded by Dan Cater to approve the agenda as presented. Ayes all, nays none, motion carried.

A motion was made by Dan Greil and seconded by Angie McGinnis to approve the minutes of the September 21st, 2011 Regular Board Meeting. Ayes all, nays none, motion carried.

A motion was made by Brad Stoneberg and seconded by Dan Cater to approve the Bills Payable as presented. Ayes all, nays none, motion carried.

A motion was made by Dan Greil and seconded by Teresa Moes to approve the Charitable Contributions for the 1st quarter as presented. Ayes all, nays none, motion carried.

A motion was made by Dan Greil and seconded by Amy Peltier to accept the quarterly review of Student Activities. Ayes all, nays none, motion carried.

Activities Administrator of the Year.

• Eric Dietz, Technology Award.

Superintendent's Report

• Renewal of the levy does NOT increase school district taxes.

• It appears that due to lower energy costs than projected as well as lower health insurance costs the school district will be closer to on budget, that the projected $1.2 million over budget which was previously projected.

• Thank you to all who called in support of the upcoming levy vote.

Action Items:

A Motion was made by Dan Cater and seconded by Amy Peltier to approve a Resolution providing for sale of General Obligation Alternative Facilities Refunding Bonds, Series 2011A; Covenanting and obligating the district to be bound by and to use the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Section 126C.55 to guarantee the payment of the principal and interest on the bonds. Upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dan Greil, Dan Cater, Angie McGinnis, Teresa Moes, Leslie Nielsen, Amy Peltier, Brad Stoneberg; and the following voted against the same: none. Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

A motion was made by Brad Stoneberg and seconded by Teresa Moes to approve the following change orders submitted:
