Science club kicks off at St. John’s

A new after-school science club started at St. John the Baptist School in Vermillion.
Students at St. John the Baptist School in Vermillion experimented with liquid nitrogen and the science of cryogenics along side 3M "Wizard" chemist, Mike Strommen.
The experiment was part of the new after-school Science Club kick-off event introduced by teacher Teresa Huneke.
The free nine-week program will introduce students at the pre-K through fifth grade school to various disciplines of scientific study including air and flight, renewable energy, geology and rocketry. Science Club meetings are organized by volunteer 3M Wizards, a geologist and an instructor from the Minnesota Starbase Center.
