The Hastings boys football team slipped to 0-3 on the season after losing to Roseville on Friday night. The final score was 17-14.
Hastings fell behind, 17-0, before getting on the board for the first time with 9:20 to play in the fourth quarter. Aaron Stoneberg scored on a quarterback sneak to get Hastings on the board.
Later in the fourth, as Roseville was driving, Tate Sykes forced a fumble and Alex Boyer recovered it. That gave the ball back to Hastings at midfield. A few plays later, Ellis Williams caught a 28-yard touchdown pass from Stoneberg.
P.J. Piotrowski converted on two extra-point attempts.
Hastings got the ball back with just less than five minutes to play, but the drive stalled. Roseville got the ball back and ran out the clock.
Hastings plays at Cretin-Derham Hall on Friday.
Cretin beat Stillwater on Friday, and they are 3-0 on the season.
