Hastings tennis team starts SEC with 2-1 mark
The Hastings girls tennis team is off to a strong 2-1 start in Suburban East Conference tennis action. Hastings beat Woodbury and White Bear Lake during the first week of SEC play.

On Sept. 6, the Raiders had no trouble getting by White Bear, winning 6-1.
Hastings swept the three doubles positions.
At the first spot, Erika Nielsen and Kirsten Peterson won 7-5, 6-1.
At second doubles, Jill Weinzettel and Ashley Addison won 6-1, 6-3.
At third doubles, Hannah Carlson and Caitlyn Judge won 6-1, 6-2.
In singles play, Hailey Lundquist lost 6-2, 6-4.
Morgan Tjomsland won at second singles, 6-4, 6-3.
Annika Peterson won at third singles, 6-2, 7-6.
At fourth singles, Maddie Carlson won 7-6, 7-5.
Hastings has a 10-5 overall record.

Hastings lost to the conference favorites from Mounds View on Sept. 8, 6-1.
Lundquist lost 6-1 ,6-4.
Tjomsland lost 6-0, 6-0.
Annika Peterson lost 6-0, 6-0.
