Theresa J. Loesch, 88

Theresa J. Loesch, age 88, of Hastings, died Aug. 26, 2011, at the Regina Medical Center.

Theresa was born Aug. 1, 1923, in Vermillion Twp. to William P. and Margaret (Thurmes) Werner. She was united in marriage to Frank "Fritz" Loesch on June 5, 1943, in Long Beach, Calif. Theresa was mainly a homemaker but worked a variety of jobs including co-owner of Loesch's Bar and Grill.

She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, a talented seamstress, and enjoyed playing the slots and watching MSNBC.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; brothers Tony, Leonard, and Arnold Werner; sisters Florence Zeien Crapps, Lenora Ries, Rosella Bauer; son-in-law Jim Iverson.

She is survived by her children, Diane (Jack) Radke, Donna (Dick) Rother, Char (Willie) Wutschke, and Bruce (Brandi) Loesch, all of Hastings; grandchildren, Brian Radke, Jody Iverson, Ryan Rother, Rob Loesch, Dustin Strong, and Tia Loesch; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Kaitlin, Sydney, and Carter; siblings Ernest (Viola) Werner, Martha (Melvin) Birk, and Lawrence (Lorraine) Werner.

The funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Cole Kracke, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. 15th St., Hastings. The visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, and 1 hour prior to the Mass Tuesday, all at the church. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Theresa's grandchildren will serve as pallbearers and members of the VFW Auxiliary are honorary pallbearers. Memorials are preferred.
