Hastings Hawks beat Dundas in baseball playoffs

The Hastings Hawks got their postseason off to a great start Tuesday with a 3-0 win over Dundas.

The Hastings Hawks got their postseason off to a great start Tuesday with a 3-0 win over Dundas.

Mark Moriarty earned the win on the mound for Hastings. He threw eight innings, striking out nine and walked two. He allowed just five hits.

Colin Brackeen pitched the ninth inning and earned the save.

John Anderson and Jordy Horsch each had RBIs. Derrick Pfeffer and Steve Kraushaar each had two hits.

Hastings plays tonight, Aug. 4, in Dundas against Miesville.
