Hastings took on the best competition that the Suburban East Conference has to offer this week, and the Raiders held up just fine.
Last Tuesday Hastings faced Forest Lake and lost, 5-2.
The Rangers are one of the perennial powers in the SEC.
Lindsey Reinisch won at first singles, 6-1, 6-1.
Kirsten Peterson fell at second singles, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4.
Morgan Tjomsland lost a third singles, 6-2, 6-0.
Hailey Lundquist won at third singles, 6-2, 6-4.
In doubles, Forest Lake won all three matches.
Shanna Burgmeier and Erika Nielsen lost 6-2, 6-4.
Ashley Addison and Gina Dabruzzi lost 6-3, 6-4.
Jessica Wassink and Hannah Carlson lost 6-2, 6-2.
Against No. 7-ranked Cretin-Derham Hall, Hastings lost 7-0, but three matches went to three sets.
Tjomsland lost a close one at third singles in three sets.
Dabruzzi and Addison lost in the third set.
Carlson and Wassink lost in a third-set tiebreaker.
Section playoffs begin next week for the Raiders.

Hastings beat White Bear Lake this week, 5-2, to improve to 5-3 in SEC play this fall.
Reinisch, Lundquist and Caitlyn Judge each won in singles action.
Burgmeier and Peterson won at first doubles and Addison and Nielsen won at second doubles.
Hastings plays host to East Ridge in the season’s final SEC match tonight (Thursday).
