The movie “The River is Life” will be shown for free from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 22 at Freedom Park in Prescott.
Filmed in 2009, the movie features two young men paddling the entire Mississippi River from Lake Itasca to the Gulf of Mexico.
This free movie, being seen in communities all along the Mississippi, features their adventures as they paddle the wilds, the urban areas, and the beautiful Mississippi River in a modern day Huck Finn adventure.
Bring a blanket and chairs and sit under the moon and the stars near the banks of the Mississippi River itself and watch the adventure unfold. Movie-style refreshments and a DVD of the movie will be available for purchase.
