Canoe birding tours
The Hastings Environmental Protectors (HEP) will lead guided nature and history tours on Lake Rebecca in Voyageur canoe from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, July 16; from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 17; and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, July 18. The tours are 30 minutes long. Donations are accepted.
Learn about reptiles
The Minnesota Herpetological Society will have demonstrations from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, July 16, near the Jaycee Park music stage. Live reptiles and amphibians are part of the free show.
Bicycle stunt shows
Rich Wieber’s bicycle stunt shows will be held at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday, July 16; and at noon, 1:15 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Sunday, July 18, at the Jaycee Park Boat launch area. The Rich Wieber Bicycle Stunt Show will feature high action BMX stunts, while also presenting several important messages to the audience.
Police dog will teach,
Hastings Police Office Mike Schmitz and his partner Eis, will demonstrate techniques in criminal apprehension by a police dog.
Demonstrations are at 7 p.m. Friday, July 16; noon and 5:30 p.m. , Saturday, July 17, at Jaycee Park
Karaoke at the Eagles
A karaoke contest will be held from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Eagles Club. Warm-up is at 7 p.m.
Duggie’s Tent Party
Dugarel’s Bar will have outside music in its tent from 8 p.m. to midnight Friday, July 16.
The Midlife Cryslers will entertain outside at Schoolhouse Square from 9 p.m. to midnight Friday, July 16.

Patrick Sieben will perform at the Busted Nut from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday, July 16.
Heartbreaker at Coliseum
“Heartbreaker” will perform from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Friday, July 16, at the Coliseum. Kitchen specials will be available from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
