Hastings rec tennis tops Farmington

The Hastings Recreational Tennis League recently came out on top in a match-up with Farmington’s league. The Farmington league edged out a Rochester league June 26.

Hastings won five of the seven matches as well as one alternate match.

In women’s singles, Lindsey Reinisch (H) defeated Nicole Krenzel (F) 6-1, 6-0.

In men’s singles:

• Josiah Hakala (F) defeated Josh Houska (H) 6-1, 6-0;

• Richard VonIderstine (H) defeated Dave Olmscheid (F) 7-5, 3-6 (7-3);

• Shane Rother (H) defeated Joseph Emond (F) 6-1, 6-3;

• Sean Kelly (F) defeated Mike Huba (H) 6-4, 6-2;

• Pat Yeshe (H) defeated Suresh Ravipati (H) 6-3, 6-4; and

• Butch Kummer (H) defeated Della Rizzo (F) 6-3, 6-3.

In the alternate match, Blake Luer (H) defeated David Baldes (F) 6-3, 6-1.
