Northfield edges out Hastings 4-3

Brett Peterson and Jake Langslay lost their first doubles match of the season in three sets. They won the first set 6-4, but fell off the pace in the second and third sets, losing 5-7 and 3-6. No. 2 singles Mitch Murphy and Cody Arndtson won 7-5 and 6-1, and No. 3 singles Elliot Siebenaler and Charlie Carpenter also won, 6-2 and 6-3.

Josh Houska earned the only singles win of the day, 6-2 and 6-3, in the No. 2 spot. Ben Carlson lost 5-7 and 4-6; Matt Lund lost 0-6, 6-1, and 2-6; and Chase Kasel lost 3-6 and 2-6.

Jake Albertson played an extra singles and lost 1-6 and 4-6. Steve Roach also played an extra match and won 6-1 and 6-2. Matt Friederichs and Kohei Hisakuni played an extra doubles match and won 6-2 in both their sets.
