Karen M. Schulte, age 67, of Hastings, died March 17, 2010, at United Hospital in St. Paul.
Karen was born May 5, 1942 in St. Paul to Russell and Harriet (Prochaska) Kenny. She was a graduate of St. Agnes High School. Karen married Leonard S. Schulte on June 14, 1975. She was a homemaker and loved quilting.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and late husband, Jack Phipps. Karen is survived by her husband, Leonard; children, Gerald Phipps of St. Paul Park, James Phipps of St. Paul, Matthew (Stacy) Schulte of Hastings, and Kristine (Todd) Miller of Oakdale; granddaughters, Brianne and Brittany; and brothers, Pat Kenny and Michael Kenny.
The funeral Mass, officiated by Rev. Allan Paul Eilen, was held March 22, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, followed by interment in the parish cemetery. The pallbearers were Lori Tollefsbol, Chris Tollefsbol, Mike Schulte, Ryan Kenny, Casey Kenny, and Joe Kenny.
