Rose Stevens, 74

Rose M. “Tiki” Stevens, age 74, of Hastings, passed away on Feb. 16, 2010.

She was born Dec. 24, 1935, to Edward and Rose Seleski. She married Gerald “Spike” Stevens on Sept. 29, 1956. Rose was a retired deputy from the Dakota County Sheriff’s Department.

She was a member of SEAS Church and choir and a member of the Paper Roses Social Club. She enjoyed traveling, music, card club, and her family and friends.

Rose is preceded in death by her son, Jerry Jr.; parents; and seven siblings. She is survived by husband, Gerald “Spike” Stevens; children, Stacey (Doug) Corrington, Susie (Rob) Sieben, John “Ripper” (Margie) Stevens and Jim Stevens; grandchildren, Tyler and Dillon Corrington, Austin Stevens, David and Nick Sieben, Meghan Langenfeld, Connor Stevens; sister, Patricia (Rich) Balster; and special friend, Barb Klein.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. 15th St., Hastings. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and 1 hour prior to mass on Friday. Pallbearers are her grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers: Barb Klein, Dorothy Fritze, Jan Weber, Marian Endres, Caroline Perry, “In Spirit” Ellie McNamara, Sharon Parkins, Mary Jean Heselton, and Patty Munsen. Interment St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery.
