Arlene Schutz

Arlene E. Schutz, age 73, of Hastings, died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009, following a short illness.

Arlene was born Oct. 23, 1936, in Woodville, Wis., to Jacob and Edna (Rodewald) Reinhardt. She married Raymond Schutz on Feb. 17, 1952, in Woodville, and was a homemaker who had also been employed by Cub Foods, County Market, and 3M.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Carl, George, and Robert Reinhardt.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Raymond; daughter, Jan (Ron) Green of Farmington; son, Randy (Debbie) Schutz of Cottage Grove; five grandchildren, Heather Gunter, Eric and Brandon Green, Ryan Schutz, and Amber Rhy; also six great-grandchildren.

The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Percy J. Damrow, was held Dec. 29 at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Hastings, followed by interment in Lakeside Cemetery. The pallbearers were Ryan Schutz, Eric Green, Brandon Green, Mark Gunther, Josh Rye, and Clint Brisson.
