Dr. Robert "Bob" McDunn, 68, of Little Falls, Minn., died at home Friday, Oct. 9, 2009.

Robert C. McDunn was born Sept. 29, 1941, in Barnesville, Minn. to Edward Charles and Florence (Frink) McDunn. He married Mary Marjamaa on August 30, 1975, in Menahga, Minn. After graduating from high school, Bob went to college at UND and then transferred to Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Ill. where he became a doctor of optometry. Robert opened his first practice in Hastings, Minn. in 1965. He and his family moved to Little Falls in 1976 where Robert was an optometrist for Midwest Vision Centers. In 1993, along with Will and Mary Kistler, they opened Vision "Cents" Optical where he practiced optometry until his retirement in 2008.

Robert was an avid outdoorsman. We hope his passion for life and the outdoors will inspire us all to "live for today."

Survived by his wife, Mary McDunn of Little Falls; sons, Todd (Melanie) McDunn of Woodlawn, Tenn., Troy McDunn of Hudson, Wis.; daughters, Traci (Brian) Lutzke of Ostego, Minn., Terri (Chris) Happke of Sauk Rapids, Minn.; mother, Florence McDunn of Barnesville, Minn.; brother, Wayne (Joann) McDunn of Audubon, Minn.; sisters, Bette (Dave) Bossart of Fargo, N.D., Phyllis (Raymond) Peppel of Barnesville, Ruth McDunn of Barnesville; seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by father, Edward Charles McDunn, grandparents, uncles and aunts.
