The Miesville Mudhens continued their strong 2009 season with a couple more wins in their last week of play.
The Mudhens logged wins over Hastings, Randolph and Northfield.
Vs Hastings
Miesville scored solo runs in the fifth and ninth innings to beat Hastings Sunday in Hastings, 2-0.
Luke Rasmussen was the winning pitcher. Andrew Werner got the save.
Vs Randolph
Miesville scored four eighth-inning runs to put away Randolph on Tuesday, June 9. The final was 6-1.
Chris Olean was the winning pitcher, picking up his second win of the year. He threw seven innings, allowed just three hits and struck out seven.
Garrett Retka and David Olson each had home runs. Olson finished the game with two hits, three RBI and two runs. Brian Schmitz knocked in two with a double.
Vs Northfield
Miesville won a wild game over Northfield on June 7, 15-6.
Werner got the win for the Mudhens on the mound.
Olson had three hits, including a double and a triple, and he knocked in four runs.
Matt VanDerBosch had two hits, including a triple, scored three runs and stole two bases.
Johnny Camp had two hits, including a home run. Retka had two hits and three RBI.
Up next
Miesville plays at 8 p.m. Friday in Red Wing against Northfield as part of the annual Dewey Tauer tournament.
