Book Signing at the LeDuc Historic Estate
On Saturday, June 29, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Author Rodney VanVleet will discuss his book, "Rendezvous with Glory," in the carriage barn of the LeDuc Historic Estate, 1629 Vermillion Street, Hastings. VanVleet, a former Hastings resident, Hastings High school principal, social studies teacher, and Civil War scholar, will discuss what motivates him to write, his writing style, read passages from his book, sign and sell his books. The life of Dr. J. P. Adams, who joined the Union Army in Hastings is chronicled in this saga, especially dealing with the unmerciful battles in and around Gettysburg, PA in 1863.
This event is free and open to the public.
