Garden meeting set at LeDuc
People interested in gardening can meet at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 20, at the LeDuc Historic Estate, 1629 Vermillion St. The 2013 gardening season at the estate will be discussed.
New and seasoned gardeners are welcome. Plans will be made for gardening around the LeDuc house and for the Community Garden.
Days and dates for working in the Community Garden will be announced. Gardeners will enjoy working in the dirt, making new friends, connecting with the earth, and reaping the harvest. They will be able to take fresh produce home with them and also share the fruits of their labors with Hastings Family Service.
A special grant for LeDuc gardens from United Way of Hastings will be announced.
