Woman phones police, reports that the Hastings Police Department is breaking into her home

A caller in the 500 block of Westview Drive phoned Hastings police to report that the Hastings Police Department was breaking into her home.

The woman, who has made numerous calls to police, reported unknown members of the department have broken into her home and stolen items. Officers are picking a recently replaced deadbolt lock to gain access, she said.

The woman said she is tired of this happening. She said officers have stolen some 50 photographs and that a computer in her home was compromised so officers could gain remote access to the computer.

Police have referred the complainant for assistance.
