Wedding: Nicole Labey and Jeffrey Schaffer
The marriage of Nicole Labey of Hastings and Jeffrey Schaffer of Miesville took place Sept. 17, 2011 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Miesville.
Nicole is the daughter of Joe Labey of White Bear Lake and Sandra Olson of Hastings. She graduated from Hastings High School in 2005 and from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in 2011. Nicole has a Bachelors of Science degree in soil science and a minor in conservation. She is employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service.
Jeffrey is the son of Al and Sharon Schaffer of Miesville. He graduated from Hastings High School in 2004 and from South Central College in Mankato in 2006. He has a degree in agribusiness production with an emphasis in Agronomy. He is working on his family farm in Miesville.
The matron of honor was Jennifer Wokson of Farmington. The best man was Aaron Stein of Cannon Falls.
The bride's personal attendant was Jenna Blahut of Hastings. Bridesmaids were: Cindy Holzmer of Hastings; Melissa Neperud of Cannon Falls; Megan Garrick of Hastings; Sarah Peterson of Pine Island; and Stephanie Olson of Hastings.
Groomsmen were: Luke Riveness of Hastings; Nick Weber of Cannon Falls; Chris Vieths of Miesville; Steve Meyers of New Trier; and Jason Schaffer of Miesville. The flower girl was Isabella Wokson of Farmington. The ringbearer was Nicholas Karnick of Hastings. Ushers were: Rick Labey of Hastings; Justin Schaffer of Miesville; Justin Wokson of Farmington; and Tyler Landon of Hastings.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at Gopher Hills Golf Course. The couple resides in Hastings.
