Two cited in fight following Rivertown Days parade

Two men were cited following a fight at the conclusion of the Rivertown Days parade.

The men were watching the parade near 10th and Ramsey streets.

According to the police report, 20-year-old Brandon James Bleyle of Hastings approached 50-year-old Gary Thomas Reuter of Hastings and said, "Are you talking crap about me?"

Reuter then grabbed Bleyle by the neck, and they ended up falling down together.

They fought on the ground for a short period of time before the fight was broken up.

Witnesses said the two men were arguing before the fight, but the witnesses had different stories when it came to who started the fisticuffs.

An ambulance was called and treated the men on the scene.

Both men were cited for disorderly conduct. Bleyle was also cited for possessing drug paraphernalia.
