Turk Seidl

Jerome "Turk" Seidl passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, in Hammond, Wis.

Turk was born in St. Paul on July 27, 1929, to John and Anna Seidl. He was a member of the Army and served during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Willard, John, and Norman Seidl.

He is survived by wife, Mary; sons, Robert "Bob" (Donna), David (Mary), Patrick (Kristie); daughter, Penny Reinardy; stepchildren, Veronica "Snookie" (Al) Meier, Richard "Butch" (Shelly) Schulte, Annie Keetley, Janet (Bruce) Creek; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Edna May Seidl and Judy Seidl.

Services, officiated by Fr. Allen Paul Eilen, were held 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 15th St W, Hastings, with visitation one hour prior. Interment, with military honors provided by VFW Lyle Russell Post 1210, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery followed the funeral service. Pallbearers were Daryl Beavers, Al Meier, Mak Keetley, Jasson Schulte, Pat Linder, Ryan Olson, and Danny Olson.
