Trunk named Lifeworks Hastings program supervisor
Hastings resident Sue Trunk has been named the program supervisor of Lifeworks Hastings.
An employee of Lifeworks for seven years, Trunk has most recently been the program supervisor at Lifeworks Eagan. She said she is excited to bring her knowledge, skills and enthusiasm to her own community through Lifeworks Hastings.
Prior to Lifeworks, Trunk worked for Hastings School District 200. She has taught yoga, kettle bells and Zumba throughout the community at the YMCA of Hastings and Community Education.
In a press release issued by Community Education, Trunk said: "I believe that the Hastings community provides welcome opportunities for the people we serve at Lifeworks Hastings, allowing them to contribute and be part of their community. I am really excited to be in the heart of Hastings."
Lifeworks is a nonprofit organization that helps people with disabilities live fuller lives that are integrated into the flow of community experience. Through employment at area businesses, social enrichment opportunities and customized support services, Lifeworks provides the tools clients need to build the lives they want to live. For more than 45 years, it has collaborated with employers, volunteers and government agencies to create expanded opportunities for people with disabilities.
