Kids should wear their best costume for this family friendly event. There will be food, games, prizes and candy.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the party ends at 8 p.m. Admission is a non-perishable food item for Hastings Family Service or a cash donation to the Youth First Planning Council scholarship fund.

Harvest fest at The Harbor

Kids Kare Center, Pine Harbor Christian Academy and The Harbor Church are teaming up to throw a large party, Harvest Fest, and inviting the community, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at the church, located just north of Hastings on Highway 61.

New games and activities have been added.

The evening includes carnival games, with a separate preschool room, inflatables, including an obstacle course and a jumper, food available for purchase and lots of candy and prizes for everyone.

Organizers encourage no violent or scary costumes for this fun, safe alternative to trick-or-treating.

Bring a bag of candy for admission.

Trick or Treat at Rio Gran

The annual Trick or Treat and Haunted Hallway will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Rio Gran.

The event is free and open to the community.
