Threats made with a sword
A 38-year Miesville resident, Joshua Paul Schaffer, apparently threatened a woman with a samurai style sword and is now facing a charge of terroristic threats as a result of the incident.
According to the criminal complaint, a woman called the Dakota County Sheriff's Department Aug. 13 to report she had been threatened. She told deputies that she and Schaffer got into an argument at her residence. She said he was holding the sword several inches from her face. She pushed Schaffer aside so she could leave the residence.
In the following days, deputies located Schaffer and placed him under arrest. He admitted he and the victim argued and that he had the sword.
