Tennis team wins opening match over Park, 4-3

A great performance in doubles helped the Hastings boys tennis team earn a win in its first match of the season. Hastings swept all three doubles positions to beat Park on April 16, 4-3.

It was the first match of the season for the Raiders.

Austin Houska and Craig Nielsen cruised in the first set at No. 1 doubles, 6-0, then eked out a win in the second set, 7-5.

Steve Roach and Alex Zuzek won at second doubles, 6-2, 6-0.

At third doubles, Carson Whyle and Danny Steiner won 6-2, 6-4.

Cody Arndtson lost at first singles, 3-6, 6-4, 6-2.

Ben Klimek won at the second spot, 6-1, 5-7, 6-4.

Park then won at third and fourth singles. Robby Troje and Killian Konrady played at those two spots for Hastings.
