Stopped for theft, suspect charged for drugs
A 22-year-old Hastings woman, Tiffany Kay Hanna, has been charged with controlled substance crime in the fifth degree (possession) and theft ($500 or less) after the vehicle she was in was stopped for a possible theft connection.
According to the complaint, Inver Grove Heights Police were investigating a theft from a store April 25 and stopped the vehicle Hanna was a passenger in. Some of the stolen items were found in the vehicle. When Hanna was asked to exit the vehicle, an officer found a yellow pill in her right front pocket. She said she did not know what it was and how it got there.
During a search of the vehicle, officers found other yellow pills in a cigarette box. The pills were identified as Oxycodone.
