Star Gazette Father's Day promotion planned - win your father a deluxe homebrewing kit

Your dad needs a hobby. Good news: We are here to help.

Father’s Day is approaching on Sunday, June 15.

You were planning on waiting until the last minute to get your father a tie. Now you can rest easy — we have the perfect gift idea for you. How about getting your father a deluxe homebrew starter kit from Northern Brewer? Better yet, how about getting him that for free?

The Hastings Star Gazette and Trade Winds and Northern Brewer have teamed up for a special contest this year. We’re asking readers to write an essay on what makes their father the best dad in the world. The winning entry will be published in the Star Gazette and that lucky father will win everything he needs to brew five gallons of beer with a deluxe starter kit (a $149.99 value at Northern Brewer).

The second-place entry will also be published and that lucky father will win a one-gallon starter kit (a $49.99 value at Northern Brewer).

Essays can be no longer than 300 words and should be emailed to Hastings Star Gazette editor Chad Richardson at crichardson@hastingsstargazette.com by noon on Monday, June 9. We will select a winner and print the winning essays on Thursday, June 12.

The contest is open to anyone living in the coverage area for the Star Gazette and Trade Winds, or any father living in the coverage area, which includes Hastings, Hampton, New Trier, Miesville, Coates, Welch and south Washington County.
