Signs of happiness: Someone has added heart-shaped balloons to at least two road signs in Hastings

This sign was found at the intersection of Prairie Street and 15th Street West.

Someone in Hastings is doing his or her best to spread the love.

A couple road signs across the city have been decorated with heart-shaped stickers. The stickers are meant to look like balloons and are attached, if you will, to the hands of children in the signs.

It’s not known who did the decorating. It’s also technically considered vandalism to deface the signs.

It’s not clear when the balloons were added to the signs, but they’ve been in place for at least six months or so.

If you have any information on the signs, please write Star Gazette editor Chad Richardson at crichardson@hastingsstargazette.com.
