Seton School students are honored
Students at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School were honored at a recent awards ceremony.
Awards were presented as follows:
President's Award for Educational excellence - Fifth grade recipients Christian Brenny, Andy O'Brien, Monica Calkins, Josie Jenson, Luke Harris.
President's Award for Educational Achievement - Fifth grade recipient Dylan Shemon.
Eleanor M. Judge Scholarship - Fifth grade recipient, Kayley Miska. This scholarship was established in memory of Judge who was a former fifth-grade teacher in the parish school. Her family started the scholarship in 1990. To be considered, a student must demonstrate an interest in, and enthusiasm for, the academic area of social studies and be registered for sixth grade at SEAS School. The nominees this year were Josie Jenson, Ian Jesme, Nathan Klinger, Marissa Miller, Joyce Oseko, Evan Scully and Miska.
Band Award - Katelyn Johnson.
Music Award - Jack Calkins and Teah McGrath.
Strong Effort Performance Award - Abby Hilo.
Elementary Achievement Awards - Each student receives $25 and one name is drawn for grand prizes of $4,500 for tuition.
Consistently High Achieving:
First grade - Hunter Wytaske, Ben Thome.
Second grade - Ashley Fritz, Even Sellars.
Third Grade - Lillian Hilo, Annabelle Dohmen.
Fourth grade - Joseph Notch.
Fifth Grade - Monica Calkins.
Greatest Gains in Achievement:
First grade - Hudson Zieske, Abigail Eglin.
Second grade - Nevan Maaske, Alivia Ott.
Third grade - Colin Wittenberg, Tyler Eliasson.
Fourth grade - Samuel Rabaey.
Fifth - Griffin Wise.
Grand prize drawing winner was Evelyn Sellars.
Ms. Patriot Award was presented to Laura Church and Mr. Patriot Award was presented to Noah Brenny and Cody Wagner.
