The Hastings girls track team had its season come to an end Thursday at the finals of the section track meet.

Hastings finished 15th out of 16 teams at the meet. The Raiders had 16 points.


Lakeville North won the section meet with 140 points.

The Raiders had some close calls, but weren't able to get any competitors into the state meet this weekend.

Results from the meet went like this:

• 400: Savannah Fultz, 21st, 1:05.81;

• 800: Alicia Beattie, 19th, 2:33.44; Brianna Strandberg, 30th, 2:45.87;

• 1,600: Kelly Pechous, ninth, 5:30.91; Maddy O'Brien, 18th, 5:43.11;

• 3,200: Pechous, ninth, 12:11.57; O'Brien, 21st, 12:57.22;

• 100 hurdles: Jessica Wagner, 21st, 17.81; Emily Hughes, 29th, 18.85;

• 300 hurdles: Wagner, 11th, 49.99; McKensie Hollar, 25th, 52.18;

• 4x200 relay: Hastings, 12th, 1:54.79;

• 4x400 relay: team of Alicia Alverson, Fultz, Hollar and Brittney Huneke, ninth, 4:23.76;

• 4x800 relay: team of Beattie, Kirsten Peterson, Maria Yandrasits and Sarah Zeien, 15th, 10:53.86;

• High jump: Taylor Goergen, seventh, 5-0; Erin Haglund, 10th, 4-10;

• Long jump: Carlin Bunting, sixth, 16-9.75;

• Triple jump: Bunting, fourth, 35-2; Huneke, 19th, 31-6.5;

• Discus: Melissa Neisen, 27th, 76-5; and

• Shot put: Neisen, 28th, 22-1.5; Emily Hughes, 29th, 21-4.75.
