School district plans community meeting to address the future of education in Hastings
The Hastings School District is inviting residents of the community to be a part of Vision 2025. A community meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3, in the commons of the Hastings High School.
The purpose of the meeting is to have parents, teachers, administrators and community members come together to share their thoughts, ideas and opinions on what is important to the future of the educational system in Hastings. The meeting will be structured, and yet it will provide a very casual setting in which all participants will have the opportunity to share their thoughts and listen to others in large and small group settings, according to the school district.
All of the comments shared will be recorded and school board members will collect and compile all of the data from the meeting.
Those interested in attending are asked to sign up in advance so that the district can have a handle on how many people will be coming.
