Ryan Condon has been offered two appointments

Ryan H. Condon, a senior at Rosemount High School and graduate of St. Joseph School in Rosemount, has been tendered appointments to the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, Conn., and the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, N.Y. Condon also received a congressional nomination to West Point. Condon is a three-sport varsity athlete serving as captain of the Alpine Ski and Cross country teams.  He has received numerous South Suburban conference awards and was named Academic All-State for Cross-country.  He is a member of the RHS concert and jazz bands with several awards from the Minnesota State High School League for ensemble performances.  Condon is also a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, and Tri-M Music Honor Society.

Condon received the rank of Eagle Scout as a freshman and is a member of the Order of the Arrow, Scouting’s national honor society.  He is an instructor for the University of Scouting program, in addition to serving as a lead volunteer ski instructor for Padraig’s Place, an adaptive ski program for physically and mentally challenged individuals. 

He has volunteered at St. Joseph Parish as an acolyte, lector and with the childcare and Sunday school ministries for many years.  He has also been a very active volunteer with the Relay for Life program.

Condon is the son of Sheila Condon and the late Thomas S. Condon of Rosemount.  His grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Denn, are lifelong residents of Hastings.
